Kareem Potomont Charged In Flatbush Avenue Shooting That Wounded Two
Kareem Potomont, the 21-year-old E 18th Street man police were seeking in the Monday shooting on Flatbush Avenue that wounded 24-year-old Eduardo Dolphy and 13-year-old bystander Gama Droiville, has officially been charged in the shooting, police say.
Potomont faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal use of a firearm, reckless endangerment, and attempted murder.
ABC News says Potomont was found hiding in a basement in Jamaica, Queens, and was arrested along with another individual who was wanted for unrelated reasons. A source told the news that Potomont is a gang member, and the gang with which he’s affiliated has been involved in two previous shootings.
