Join Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams For The Grand Opening Of Kensington’s Social Adult Day Care Center

The Kensington outpost of Social Adult Day Care Centers of New York (251 E 5th Street between Albemarle Road and Caton Avenue) is just about ready to open, and they’re hosting a Grand Opening this Wednesday, March 19, from 4-8pm.

The center, which calls itself “an alternative to long-term care,” offers seniors a chance to maintain independence in a safe environment when their main residence is empty during the day. It has found its niche between standard senior centers and traditional full-time nursing homes.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams will be in attendance, and a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 6pm. If you’d like to stop by, you may RSVP here.
