It’s a Dog’s World to Close

We’re sad to report that It’s a Dog’s World, the pet supply store at 593 Coney Island Avenue, will be closing its business on March 31, so that owner Marion Weiner can take advantage of retirement and do more travelling. Here are the details:

Grooming and training will continue on the same schedule. The store will continue to stock its most popular products. Many products are already on sale and more will go on sale as the weeks progress towards closing. We can still do special orders on most products.
We’ll post updates on items as they go on sale!
The store will continue to have morning hours on Saturday and Sunday.
Thanks all for your support and business!

Marion says she hopes to continue to do dog training after the store is closed. Best of luck to her and her staff!

The store’s closing will leave a big hole in our area. The next closest places to pick up pet food and other supplies are The Hamilton Dog House at Sean Casey Animal Rescue on East 3rd Street in Kensington, Petland Discounts at 968 Flatbush Ave near Albemarle, and Animal Fare at 153 Prospect Park Southwest near the Vanderbilt Playground. It seems like a lot of options, but not if you don’t have a car and need to carry a big bag of dog food or kitty litter (though Hamilton Dog House delivers).

Where do you/will you get your pet supplies?
