Inspector Eric Rodriguez Promoted & 70th Precinct Prepares For New Commanding Officer
Congratulations to the 70th Precinct‘s Inspector Eric Rodriguez, who has been promoted to Commanding Officer of the NYPD’s Applicant Processing Division. Inspector Rodriguez, who worked previously as Commanding Officer of the 68th Precinct, has served the 70th since the 2011 retirement of Deputy Inspector Ralph Monteforte.
In his nearly three years with our local authorities, Inspector Rodriguez has been instrumental in our continually-decreasing crime rates, and is known to credit collaboration between the community, law enforcement, Shomrim, and local clergy efforts with the longstanding success of the precinct.
A representative from the 70th says the next Commanding Officer has not been appointed yet, but we look forward to meeting him or her–and of course, we wish Inspector Rodriguez the best of luck in his new position!
