Impending Myrtle Avenue Starbucks Is Hiring Baristas And Supervisors

Reception was not particularly positive back in late March/early April when news broke that Starbucks would be moving into a storefront at 394 Myrtle Avenue, but maybe there can be a silver lining, at least for a few locals with coffee-making and retail management skills.

That’s because Starbucks is hiring baristas and shift supervisors for the Fort Greene location — for which no open and start date has been set yet.

As first noted by the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership on their Facebook page, the barista position calls for clean, organized, friendly, trustworthy, team-oriented, and not-ruffled-easily candidates. The shift supervisor position calls for all those qualities, plus someone who is good at in-person communication and leadership skills.
