Hydrangeas Around Ditmas Park
So many varieties, so many colors. Hydrangeas are a big floral marker of our neighborhood, popping up on nearly every corner. The acidity of the soil can affect the color–blue blossoms are produced in acidic soil, pink usually in neutral or alkaline soil. There are different things you can add to the soil to possibly alter the color, but pennies, despite what you may have heard, are probably not one of them.
