Help Your Neighbors At Ditmas IS 62 This Saturday & At PS 130 Next Tuesday

What are you doing this Saturday? How about helping out some neighbors?

This Saturday, February 7, from 10:30-11:30am at Ditmas IS 62 (700 Cortelyou Road), the nonprofit New York Cares will be holding orientations for two new volunteer programs at the school.

One is “Coffee and Conversation,” in which volunteers will help IS 62 parents practice their English conversation skills. The other is a homework help program, for which volunteers will tutor sixth grade students in all subjects.

Additionally, on Tuesday, February 10, at PS 130 (70 Ocean Parkway), New York Cares will hold a volunteer orientation for its new afternoon math games program at that school. The orientation will run from 3:50pm-5pm.

If you’re interested, this is what you’ll need to do:

  • First, create an account with New York Cares by going here.
  • Second, register here for the Coffee and Conversation, here for the homework help, and here for the afternoon math games orientations.
