Help Wanted Around Ditmas Park
If you’re looking for a better commute (being able to walk to work is pretty darn sweet), or maybe your current job just isn’t cutting it, there are a bunch of available positions in and around our neighborhood. 1. Bashi Channel (which will soon open at 1120 Cortelyou Road) is looking to hire all kitchen staff, including a chef de cuisine, line cooks and dishwashers. The chef de cuisine position requires a two-year commitment and at least five to seven years of experience, with management included in that time. The chef de cuisine position will be full time. Line cooks will also be full time positions and are paid from $10 to $14 an hour depending on the candidate and position. 3. Lea (1022 Cortelyou Road) is hiring line cooks and kitchen staff. In their Craigslist ad, the restaurant said they’d like their line cooks to have experience. The available positions are both part time and full time. To apply, please go here.

5. Cafe Madeline (1603 Cortelyou Road) is seeking an experienced, outgoing and hardworking barista. The position is full-time, and the candidate must be able to work weekends. The Flatbush Food Coop (1415 Cortelyou Road) is looking to fill several positions, including a center store manager, a store operations manger, a front end manager, an assistant deli manager, and a cashier.
