Help Stamp Out Hunger By Eating $1 Slices From Di Fara & Wheated Tomorrow

Want to help fight hunger in the city (where about 2.6 million people experience difficulty finding food for themselves and their families each year) while eating Di Fara and Wheated pizza slices for $1?

We can’t really imagine any answer other than yes – which means you should go to tomorrow’s Slice Out Hunger, an annual event that features more than 40 pizza shops throughout the city – including Di Fara (1424 Avenue J) and Wheated (905 Church Avenue). This year’s event will be held at St. Anthony’s Church (154 Sullivan Street) in Soho – and all the proceeds go to the Food Bank for New York City, a nonprofit that aims to curb hunger in the city by helping to provide 400,000 free meals to residents throughout the five boroughs every day, among numerous other initiatives.

Doors for Slice Out Hunger open at 6pm and close when the pizza runs out. Tickets are available at the door for $1 each and may be exchanged inside for a slice of pizza from one of the many amazing pizzerias (all of which are listed here), a soda, and a dessert item from Brewla Bars or a raffle ticket. You won’t be able to get tickets early – which means you should get to the church as early as possible, because we can guarantee there will be a line.
