Help PS 295 By Bringing Plastic Bags To Thursday Market
Our friends at PS 295 (19th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues) are in need of plastic bags for their weekly farmers market, which runs every Thursday from 2:30-4:30pm.
The market, run by the teachers, parents, and students of PS 295, was launched in 2013 and offers a vast array of produce grown in the school’s garden, but also features harvest selections from Waldingfield Farms.
So bring those extra grocery sacks and prepare to stock up the kitchen for this weekend. The school has lots of goodies at the ready, including kale, concord grapes, potatoes, winter squash, broccoli, swiss chard, arugula, and Asian greens.
Are you a parent at the school who’s interested in getting involved? Stop by the market or contact market@ps295.org for more information.
