Help Keep Park Slope Beautiful At The Fall Civic Sweep

Join the Park Slope Civic Council to beautify, recycle, and clean up our neighborhood at the Fall Civic Sweep on Sunday, October 19 from 10am to 2pm, rain or shine.

Volunteers will gather in front of the Old Stone House/JJ Byrne Playground, 5th Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets, before hitting local blocks to sweep up litter and leaves, weed and mulch street trees, paint over graffiti, and more.

Additionally, the Lower East Side Ecology Center will be on hand to collect and recycle electronics, Solar One will be on hand to speak with homeowners about adopting solar technology for their homes and buildings, and the Civic Council will be giving away daffodil bulbs for planting in public areas.

They’ll serve refreshments, and will provide all tools and supplies. Community service vouchers will be available. And Rick Snell and Friends will be playing some bluegrass. So come out and help show your neighborhood some love!
