Hear Local Band Lucius Perform Live
Lucius, the talented local band who had their van stolen last year, were invited to perform for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Series recently. In a rave review about the band’s performance, NPR’s Bob Boilen congratulated the musicians, stating, “though I expected fun, we also got fabulous.”
Singers Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig moved to Ditmas Park in 2007, where they met their future bandmates and began writing music together. The band evokes a ’60s-style folk sound mixed with modern overtones. Since starting up, they have created quite a buzz and amassed a big following, with over 4,600 fans on Facebook.
If you’d like to see Lucius perform live, you have a chance coming up next week. They’re playing at Mercury Lounge on Friday, January 18 at 8:30pm.
