Get ready to move your cars, as a new HBO miniseries gets set to film scenes in our area later this week.

Neighbor Chris Polony spotted the no parking signs along 17th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues for the upcoming show Crime, an eight-hour miniseries that had originally been called Criminal Justice and starred the late James Gandolfini in the pilot. Park Slope resident John Turturro (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) has since taken over his role in this drama, which is based on a BBC series. Turturro plays Jack Stone, who Deadline describes as:

…an ambulance-chasing New York City attorney who gets in over-his-head when he takes on the case of a Pakistani ([Riz] Ahmed) accused of murdering a girl on the Upper West Side.

The crew will be filming in our area on Thursday, March 19, and vehicles will need to be moved from the marked blocks (look out for those neon signs) by 8pm on Wednesday, March 18. If you find your car has been relocated, contact the locations department at 646-696-9042.
