There, you’ll be able to meet with community board members, police officials, area lawmakers, and more. • Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30pm: The CB 7 Transportation Committee, along with the neighboring Community Board 14, will hold a joint meeting at the Windsor Terrace Library (160 E. 5th Street, at the corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway and E. 5th) about the 20th Street Truck Route Area Study – which the DOT launched after more than 200 residents of 20th Street signed a petition in 2010 requesting that the DOT study the truck route on 20th Street, between 3rd and 7th Avenues, to see if the street could be chanced to one-way. The petition cited property damages and congestion due to two-way truck traffic on the narrow street. DOT is currently conducting a traffic study to develop truck route alternatives for this area.
