Happening Now: Dolphin Stranded In Coney Island Creek

Source: NYPD via Gothamist

Police have been on the scene at Coney Island Creek since a little after 11:00 a.m., attempting to coral a live dolphin that lost its way out of the polluted waterway.

Police have been tackling the situation from the weed and rubble filled coastline near the Cropsey Avenue Home Depot in Bath Beach.

Gothamist reports that harbor patrol is trying to push the dolphin out of the creek using a net, while the dolphin is doing laps across the width of the creek.
