Half Way Through Spring Break: Ideas!

Many of us have sent our little ones off to spring break camp. Many of us, though, have opted to host spring break at home. The week is half over, the weather is still cold. What, you may be asking, is there left to do?

Well, our sister-site, Park Slope Stoop, pulled together a list of fun activities in Prospect Park and beyond.

We have a couple of ideas of our own:

  1. Buy seeds and dirt from the hardware store. Plant them. It’s spring, after all!
  2. Attend open swim at John Jay High School (237 7th Ave).
  3. The Prospect Park carousel is open.
  4. The NY Aquarium (602 Surf Ave) is still under construction, but it’s still a nice outing–not too grand and not too small–especially when paired with a walk along the Coney Island Board Walk. No, it’s not too cold outside to play at the beach. But, even I will concede it’s too cold to swim.

Enjoy the rest of spring break!
