Get Creative With The Not A Box Festival

Nothing sparks the imagination like an empty cardboard box, and our neighbors at One World Project (1224 Prospect Avenue and Vanderbilt) are ready to turn those blank canvases into everything from rocket ships to mountains on Saturday, April 5.

Inspired by the Antoinette Portis book Not A Box, The Not A Box Festival invites the community to come and let their creativity soar with a box and some art supplies. You bring the empty box, and One World will provide “tape, glue, and an imagination table full of donated recyclables.”

The event runs from 3pm to 6pm. Admission is free, but RSVP is appreciated so organizers know how many people to expect. To secure your spot, email joanne@oneworldproject.org.
