Get Your Costumes Ready For The Great PUPkin!

Ladies and gentlemen, start your costumes–the 16th annual Great PUPkin doggie Halloween costume contest is set to hit Fort Greene Park on Saturday, October 25 (rain date October 26), and Fort Greene PUPS is expecting you to pull out all the stops. And as a media sponsor and judge of this year’s PUPkin, Fort Greene Focus is expecting the same!

You’ve got just over two weeks left to get your pup’s (pups’?) costume (costumes?) together, all the way from concept to execution. Last year’s event included a yellow submarine, Sharknado, and “Napoleon dog” among others, so you have a lot to live up to–but the good news is, you can make a super clever costume with as little as some paint and a cardboard box (see above).

Get some inspiration on Flickr, then come hang with Fort Greene PUPS–and us–October 25 on the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument stairs at noon (registration at 11am). See you there!
