From Day One: Brooklyn Based Conference on Business and Society Launches September 13

Companies tend to prosper when they put people ahead of product and profit—but how can companies build these values into their business–and stick with them–in an economy driven by disruption? To find answers, The Bridge and partners have launched From Day One, a conference on business and society on Sept. 13 at BRIC House in Downtown Brooklyn.

The event gathers business leaders, activists, and journalists to address the growing demand for accountability in business with advice, solutions, and ideas for Brooklyn’s movers-and-shakers. It’s a packed day, from 10 am to 6 pm, with an after-party hosted by Eileen Fisher at their new Making Space location in Cobble Hill.

Speakers and panelists include VICE News head Josh Tyrangiel, Penda Aiken of PAI, Inc., Meetup founder, and CEO Scott Heiferman, Totem’s Tucker Reed, Rubenstein Partners’ Jeremiah Kane, and City Council Member Robert Cornegy. Speakers will tackle issues such as diversity and inclusion, gentrification, and how businesses can engage in social responsibility through panels and fireside chats.

The conference is coming up soon, but there’s still time to register! Visit www.fromdayone.co for more information and tickets, and use code BKLYNER25 for an exclusive 25% discount on attendance.
