Fresh Baked Goodness At Bagel Hole
It’s quite possible that we’re going to lose our South Slope card for this admission, but today was our first visit to Bagel Hole (7th Avenue, between 12th and 13th Street). Now we’re lamenting eight years without this bit of breakfast perfection in our lives.
We decided to go for the plain bagel with cream cheese ($1.75), and it definitely lived up to the best bagel in N.Y.C. banner hanging on the front of the 28-year-old business. Crisp on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside, and obviously fresh.
There are a number of different varieties to choose from, all made by hand in the shop, and if they’re anything like the one we had today, we’re looking forward to indulging in them all on a regular basis.
That said, it’s no secret that bagel loyalties run deep in our neck of the woods. Where do you pick up your favorite?
