Fort Greene’s Sing For Hope Piano Is Almost Here; Get Ready To Play Beginning June 5

Summer means Sing For Hope Pianos are about to return to parks throughout the city, including our Fort Greene Park!

This year, our piano is painted by Brooklyn-based artist Henya Emmer and will sit at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Washington Park beginning next Friday, June 5 through June 20. The design shows silhouettes of dancing figures against a purple background — kind of appropriate for our artistic, creative community.

There will be pianos in 50 locations, including 14 in Brooklyn. Clinton Hill artist Paul St. Savage has also been tapped to paint a piano, which will sit in Brower Park, across from the Brooklyn Children’s Museum in Crown Heights.

Let’s make music!
