Below you’ll find information on events through the weekend. Check back in on Monday to see what’s scheduled for next week.

Les Six: Poulenc I
When: Friday, October 24, 8pm
Where: Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church (85 South Oxford Street between Lafayette and Greene Avenues)
What: The season opening concert from Brooklyn Art Song Society will feature the music of Les Six–a group of Parisian composers responsible for changing the face of 20th century music–performed by acclaimed vocalists and pianists.
How much: $15 students/seniors, $25 general admission, tickets here

The Great PUPkin Doggie Halloween Costume Contest
When: Saturday, October 25, 12pm (registration at 11am)
Where: Fort Greene Park’s Prison Ship Martyrs Monument
What: Let us know if we’re totally out of line here, but we’re guessing you love both adorable dogs and Halloween costumes. So what could be more fun than seeing some of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill’s top caliber canines all dolled up in their spookiest attire–or dolling yours up for the competition? We’re judging, but we secretly plan to give everyone a winning score.
How much: Free for spectators, $5 suggested donation for entrants

Kids Party & “The Twilight Zone” Marathon
When: Sunday, October 26, throughout the day
Where: Habana Outpost (757 Fulton Street at South Portland Avenue)
What: There’s something for everyone at Habana Outpost’s end of season party–whether you’re a preschooler who can’t wait five more days to slap on that Batman costume, or an over 21-er who doesn’t want to wait several more months to watch programs in the bar’s backyard. The kids’ party runs from 11am-2pm, with The Twilight Zone marathon beginning at 8pm.
How much: Free admission
