Health & Wellness Open House

Where: Prominis Medical Offices (443 Dekalb Avenue between Classon Avenue and Taaffe Place)
What: This newly-opened Prominis outpost will be offering no-cost medical screenings, healthy food tastings, and an opportunity to chat with one of the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership community chefs.

Don Weis Discounted Double Feature
When: Tuesday, July 22, at 4:30pm and 8:15pm
Where: BAM Rose Cinemas (30 Lafayette Avenue between St Felix Street and Ashland Place)
What: How about two movies for the price of one? For this special one day event, BAM will be playing director Don Weis‘ The Adventures of Hajji Baba and I Love Melvin back to back, and for way less than you’d expect.

Trivia Night
When: Wednesday, July 23, 8-11pm
Where: Putnam’s Pub & Cooker (419 Myrtle Avenue at Clinton Avenue)
What: This weekly trivia competition is rare in that it’s free to join, plus there are drink specials and you’ll have the chance to walk away with a $100, $50, or $25 gift certificate. Or stumble away. Or don’t leave Putnam’s with any value left on the certificate at all. We’re all adults here.

Sing Along with Rob

I Live in Brooklyn Workshop
When: Saturday, July 26, 12-2pm
Where: BLDG 92 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard
What: Kids four to eight years old and their families are invited to this imagination-engaging literary and crafts event, which will include a reading from I Live in Brooklyn, a discussion of favorite local sights and sounds, yummy snacks, map making, and more!
