Fonda Opening New Bar/Restaurant In Former Beer Table Spot

If you’re a fan of Fonda (7th Avenue, between 14th and 15th Street), you’re going to love this bit of Thursday evening news from an observant tipster:

A woman outside of the former Beer Table restaurant told me today that Fonda is opening a drinks and small bites location there! She didn’t want to say too much, but did mention that it will be open in a couple of weeks.

Very. Cool. DNAinfo reported back in May that Fonda owner Roberto Santibañez applied for a liquor license in the Beer Table space, so it definitely sounds like a promising tip.

We’ve reached out to Fonda for confirmation, but have not received a response. That said, the restaurant did post the following message on their Facebook page Wednesday:

We are opening a new and fun small concept “Bar/Restaurant” in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We are looking to HIRE a highly motivated, creative and knowledgeable Bartender/Mixiologist/Server. Send application to: jobs@fondarestaurant.com. Please include a contact number on your email.

We’ll keep an eye out for more information, and will be sure to fill you in on any grand opening details as soon as they become available.
