One Person Injured In Park Slope High-Rise Fire

One person was injured when a fire broke out this afternoon on the top floor of a high-rise apartment building located at 341 10th Street (between 4th and 5th Avenues). The fire has since been put out.

According to FDNY, the fire was called in at 3:30pm and was under control by 4:09pm.

The FDNY described the injuries to the victim as “minor,” telling us they were taken to the hospital, though their identity has not yet been released.

“It was bad, it was all over the place,” said a man standing on 9th Street who’d witnessed the flames. “But they got it out quick.”

The FDNY said that 20 units and 78 firefighters were sent to the scene.

Information has not yet been released as to the cause of the fire.
