Feeling Sniffly? It’s Flu Shot Time At Kensington Pharmacies

Flu season is fast approaching, and what’s more nerve wracking is the government shutdown is making it difficult for the CDC to keep track of the virus. Luckily, there are several places in the neighborhood to get vaccinated before you find yourself stuck in bed with an empty box of tissues and some major aches and pains.

CVS
411 Ditmas Avenue (between Ocean Parkway and E 5th Street)
718-435-7101

Rite Aid
302 Church Avenue (between E 3rd and E 4th Streets)
718-437-7765

Walgreens
114 Beverley Road (on the corner of E 2nd Street)
718-437-7802

Flu symptoms include but are not limited to a fever or chills, a sore throat or cough, head and body aches, fatigue, a runny or stuffy nose, and vomiting or diarrhea (both of these are more common in kids than in adults). People over 65, young children, pregnant women, and people with conditions such as asthma and diabetes are more susceptible to complications from the flu.

Until the CDC is back up to full capacity, check out Google Flu Trends to see where the virus is most prevalent, and see the Healthmap Vaccine Finder if none of these pharmacies work for you.
