FasTrack Work Hits The F & R Lines And More Weekday Subway Changes
There’s some FasTrack work affecting two of our local lines this week, but that ends up adding some other changes to other lines, as well. If you’re riding the subway late at night this week, there’s plenty to look out for. Details from the MTA:
Manhattan-bound D trains run local from 36 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday to Thursday, July 21-24
Allow additional travel time.
F service operates in two sections
Late nights, 10pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, July 21-25
1. Between 179 St and Roosevelt Av; and 2. between 21 St-Queensbridge and Stillwell Av. Free shuttle buses operate between Roosevelt Av and Queensboro Plaza.
G trains run every 20 minutes
Late evenings, beginning 11pm, Monday to Thursday, until July 24
Allow additional travel time.
Astoria-bound N trains run local from 59 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday to Thursday, July 21-24
Allow additional travel time.
No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, until August 15
R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. Take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.
R service ends early between Whitehall St and 71 Av
Evenings, Monday to Thursday, July 21-24
Service operates between 95 St and Court St in Brooklyn (until 12 midnight). Travel Alternatives: N trains make all R stops between Canal St and Lexington Av/59 St. E trains provide alternate service in Queens until 10pm. For Lower Manhattan, use nearby 4 stations instead; transfer between N and 4 trains at Lexington Av/59 St or 14 St-Union Sq.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn

No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the D line.
