Fastrack Shuts Down the B Train Early This Week

The MTA’s Fastrack is back on the B/D/F/M lines in Manhattan this week, which doesn’t mean a major inconvenience for B train riders–since Fastrack construction starts at 10pm each night this week, the B will just stop running a little earlier.

Manhattan-bound service on the B (and the M) from Brooklyn will end at 9:30pm, and service is available in Manhattan until 10pm. (Normally, the last B train departs from 145th St at just after 10pm, and from Brighton Beach at just before 10pm.)

For the other lines on that corridor, there will be no service at Grand St and 6th Ave stations between 10pm and 5am: 14th St, 23rd St, 34th St-Herald Sq, 42nd St-Bryant Pk, 47-50th Sts, and 57th St.

Also, if you’re heading out to Queens late at night this week, note that the Q train is switching to the F track past 57th St.
