What: Come unlock your secret superhero powers at Clinton Hill’s summer reading kickoff party! As well as giving out summer reading materials, we will be decorating the sidewalk with chalk art, making crafts, and starting kids off on our summer superhero training program with hero-themed activities, games, and stories.

Theater Workshop Storytime: “The Jungle Book”
When: Saturday, June 6 at 11am
Where: Greenlight Bookstore at 686 Fulton Street
What: Come swing through The Jungle Book with Jocelyn Greene of Child’s Play NY! Explore your animal instincts as we play with the characters and songs from this Rudyard Kipling classic. Guard the wolf den from Sheere Khan, dance like Mowgli the man-cub, and sing about the Bare Necessities like Balloo! Parents can learn more about Child’s Play NY, a Brooklyn Based theater program offering summer camps and theater classes to children. Ages 3 to 8.

Family Day

Where: BRIC House at 647 Fulton Street
What: Join some of BRIC’s Teaching Artists for an imaginative adventure for an all-ages, in art-making! This Family Day event is in collaboration with our The 27th Annual BRIC Student Art and Media Education Exhibition! There will be movie screenings, silk screening, digital stop motion animation, pop-up book-making activities and more. This is a FREE, drop-in event, appropriate for all ages.

Habana Outpost Kids Corner
When: Saturday, June 6 from 11am-3pm
Where: Habana Outpost at 757 Fulton Street
What: Live Ladybug Release! Join us for this annual event as we release live ladybugs into the courtyard of Habana Outpost and learn how ladybugs protect our garden. The Kid’s Corner is a weekend program that offers free, creative workshops and crafts that teach environmentalism, wellness and community to neighborhood kids.

Frolic Festival
When: Saturday, June 6 from 1-5pm
Where: Brooklyn Botanic Garden at 990 Washington Avenue
What: Celebrate the opening of BBG’s new Discovery Garden with a family festival full of dragonfly strolls, butterfly crafts, a puppet dance party, and a musical scavenger hunt.

Toddler Tuesdays at Lakeside
When: Tuesday, June 9 from 9:30am-12pm
Where: LeFrak Center Lakeside in Prospect Park at 171 East Drive
What: Start your Tuesdays with an action-packed morning of toddler-only dedicated skate time on the rink, instructor-led games, music, play-based activities, snacks, and beverages. The Toddler Tuesday program is designed for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers. Accompanying caregivers are required to participate in all activities with their toddlers and must be prepared to assist/monitor the toddler accordingly. For more information call (718) 462-0010 or email groups@lakesidebrooklyn.com.

Baby Breakfast

Where: Habana Outpost at 757 Fulton Street
What: The courtyard is transformed into an into a toddler wonderland complete with toys, a water table and supervised art projects geared towards children 4 and under. Come meet your neighbors and watch your kids make new friends. Presented in conjunction with My Brooklyn Baby.
