Facebook v. Newsletter

Dear neighbors,

A number of you have expressed to us your frustration that you do not get all the stories we post on Facebook, despite having liked our page. It’s true. Facebook seems to show the stories only to a small fraction of folks who’d like to get them, and while we could pay to promote posts to more than the random sampling Facebook decides deserves to see any given post, we are not in a position where we can justify it. It is incredibly frustrating to us as well.

There are a few options, if you actually would like to get ALL of the day’s news from us:

Subscribe to the newsletter. It is sent out every day at 6pm to all those who have subscribed, and includes excerpts and links to all of the day’s posts.
Subscribe to the RSS feed. Kind of like the newsletter, but you get each post as it’s posted.
Follow us on Twitter
Bookmark the homepage on your computers and smart-gadgets.

Of course, we’d be thrilled if you shared the news you care about with your friends in whichever format best suits you. Please let us know if we can make it easier by adding any specific share buttons (any Reddit requests? Tumbler?).

Thank you so much for reading, contributing and sharing!

Liena, Mary and Patrick
