Extra Trash Collection for Passover

Community Board 14 reports that the Department of Sanitation will once again add additional collection services in portions of the area to assist residents in preparation for Passover observances, which begins at sundown on Monday, March 25.

Here are the dates and borders for additional collection in our area:

Additional Collection for Friday, March 22
Avenue F/18th Ave on north
Railroad Cut on south
Coney Island Ave/Foster Ave/Ocean Pkwy on east
McDonald Ave on west

Additional Collection for Monday, March 25
Dorchester Rd on north
Foster Avenue on south
Ocean Avenue on east
Coney Island Avenue on west

Foster Avenue on north
Railroad Cut on south
CB14 Boundary on east
Ocean Parkway on west

The additional Monday recycling collection will take place from midnight to 8am, so all recycling should be placed curbside on the evening of Sunday, March 24 for collection on Monday, March 25. All regular refuse materials, including Chometz, should be placed at curbside no later than 11am on Monday, March 25. The use of plastic bags for these special collections is strongly suggested.
