Ennis Playground Community Listening Session This Thursday

Have you got some ideas about what you’d like to see fixed at Ennis Playground? If so, try to make it out to a Community Listening Session scheduled for this Thursday, January 22 at 6:30pm at the Rawley American Legion Post, 193 9th Street, near 3rd Avenue.

Councilmember Brad Lander‘s office and the Parks Department will be meeting with community members to hear your ideas to fix the playground, which is located between 2nd and 3rd Avenues and between 11th and 12th Streets.

In addition to concerns about simply repairing surfaces, neighbors are hoping to float the idea of allowing parts of the playground to remain open later and open to pets, so dogwalkers can use the space without fear of being ticketed.

If you’ve got other ideas, this will be the forum to let Parks know, so bring them on Thursday — and let us know what you’d like to see in the comments below, as well.
