Enjoy Crafts, Raffles & Entertainment At This Sunday’s Greenwoodstock


This Sunday, May 4, bring the family to Greenwood Playground (83 E 5th Street between Greenwood Avenue and Ocean Parkway) for Greenwoodstock 2014! This year’s lineup is as follows:

10-11am: Merle “Misty” Jones croons country classics with his lonely guitar
11am-12pm: Redfish–A “homecooked” trio of Cajun fiddle, accordion, and guitar, bringing spicy music and rhythms of South Louisiana to our playground
12-1pm: Debbie Deane sings lush, intelligent and soulful songs influenced by jazz and soul
1-2pm: Calico Drum spins a web of hypnotic rhythms and soundscapes inspired by nature and music from around the world, featuring Zaneta and Chris from Play Music
2-3pm: Cynthia King Dancers–The heart and soul of our community! “…inspiring dancers to strive for both technical excellence and meaningful artistry.”
3-4pm: Paul DeCoster–Rock balladeer performing his R&B and rock originals and classics
4-5pm: Mark Allen Berube–Local singer/songwriter performs his amusing folk songs

Prizes courtesy of Juice Box Wine & Spirits, Le Paddock, Haircare by Yolanda, Hamilton’s, Kings Bay Y, Barking Cat Studio, Play Music, Brooklyn Commune, and Steeplechase Coffee will also be raffled off during the event, and Barking Cat and Little Nest Preschool will hold a free arts and crafts table starting at 10am.
