Enjoy Art & Community At Friday’s South Slope Silent Auction
The fifth annual South Slope Silent Auction is taking over The Old Stone House (5th Avenue, between 3rd and 4th Streets) on Friday, November 21, from 6:30-9pm, and organizers at PS 295 say that this year’s event is “bigger and better than ever.”
Whether you’re getting a jump on your holiday shopping, or looking to redecorate the apartment, you’ll find a great selection from the local art community, including many pieces from talented PS 295 parents, in a wide range of affordable prices.
Admission to this kid-free event (Mama and Daddy need a date night every now and then) is free, light snacks are included, beer and wine will be available for a suggested donation, and all proceeds benefit PS 295.
If you’re unable to make it to the auction, bids can also be placed online. Just email southslopesilentartauction@gmail.com with your name, the artwork you want to bid on, your highest bid, and your telephone number. Representatives from the auction will bid on the artwork for you, but note that you must be available by phone at the end of the auction, and ready to pay by credit card if you win.
For more information, or to check out more of the art at this year’s event, visit the South Slope Silent Auction website or Facebook page.
