“Embrace Winter” in Bay Ridge This Saturday

EMBRACE WINTER FESTIVAL 2017
When: Saturday, February 25th from noon to 6:30pm
Where: At participating locations along 3rd Avenue between 69th to 88th Streets
What: An annual event sponsored by BRACA (Bay Ridge Arts & Cultural Alliance) in partnership with the Merchants of Third Avenue, featuring art, music, history, games, and crafts at storefronts along 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge.
How Much: $5 Suggested Donation

Though temperatures may feel spring-like, you can still “Embrace Winter” on Saturday with art exhibitions, arts and crafts, and many more activities along 3rd Avenue including:

-an ice fishing game hosted by Frozen’s Olaf the Snowman at Consentino’s | 12 to 2pm (6927 3rd Ave.)
-a musical performance by members of the Regina Opera at Vesuvio Restaurant | 3 to 4pm (7305 3rd Ave.)
-an acoustic performance by Ira Bolterman and Joseph Anastasi at The Salty Dog | 4:15 to 5pm (7509 3rd Ave., side room)
-a film screening of “When Broomsticks Were King,” a short documentary about stickball directed by Jason Cusato at The HOM Store | 5:30 to 6:30pm (8806 3rd Ave.)

Launched in 2011, BRACA supports and promotes the arts in Bay Ridge and develops strategies to make the neighborhood a cultural destination. The organization has been coordinating the “Embrace Winter” Festival for 4 years to promote local businesses and partner them with arts and cultural organizations.
