El Bronquito Pop-Up Bringing Mexican Street Food To Splitty August 5

Fort Greene and Clinton Hill have a pretty amazing variety of food options, but novelties like a grub pop-up never hurt, right? Splitty (415 Myrtle Avenue between Clinton and Vanderbilt Avenues) seems to agree with us, which is why they’ll be welcoming El Bronquito on Tuesday, August 5 to serve up some Mexican street food.

Chef Eduardo Sandoval, formerly of the Lower East Side’s Mission Cantina and Williamsburg restaurant Pedro’s Kitchen & Brew, will be in the bar’s backyard starting at 6pm. A bit of snooping has led us to some other recent and forthcoming El Bronquito pop-ups, which give a hint at what neighbors can expect.

After enjoying your food, you might choose to stick around for Splitty’s Audiophile Trivia, too. Free drinks are to be had during the 9pm event, and the final prize is a $40 tab–leaving you more cash to spend on (fingers crossed!) empanadas.
