Eat, Drink, Shop & Support Local Schools At Cortelyou At Twilight This Tuesday, October 21

What are you doing this Tuesday? We’re gonna go with: eating, eating, and more eating. Oh, and drinking.

For $20 (ahead of time, or $25 the day of), you can sample food from more than 20 restaurants in our neighborhood as part of the Flatbush Development Corporation’s annual Cortelyou at Twilight. From Coney Island Avenue toe East 17th Street, you can meander Cortelyou from 5pm to 8pm and try new culinary creations and longtime favorite dishes at a huge list of places.

In addition to getting to stuff your face, the event will help support our local schools – all the proceeds from the tickets and 10 percent of the sales sold at the featured stores between 5pm and 9pm will benefit PS 139 and PS 217.

Additionally, there will be free special events, including salsa dance lessons at Latin Fever Dance Studio, camera tune-ups at Gabe’s Camera City, and frame adjustment and treats at Grace Eyecare.

You can also try to win free tickets – Assemblyman Jim Brennan is raffling off two pairs of Cortelyou at Twilight tickets. There will be two raffles; each winner will receive two tickets and a $25 gift certificate that can only be used the night of the event between the hours of 5pm and 9pm at one of the participating businesses.

To enter, you have to submit your name, email address, phone number, and zip code to Seerym@assembly.state.ny.us before 12pm on Monday, October 20. The two winners will be selected that day (October 20) and notified about where to pick up their tickets.
