Hungry? So are approximately 2.6 million other people across NYC. To change that, local favorites Wheated and Di Fara Pizza are teaming up with over 40 other pizza vendors and the Food Bank for New York City tomorrow night at 6pm for the 5th annual Slice Out Hunger, to be held at Saint Anthony’s Church (154 Sullivan Street on the corner of W Houston Street in Manhattan).

The event helps to combat food poverty by offering $1 tickets to be exchanged for pizza slices, drinks, snacks, and raffle tickets (for the chance to win stuff like t-shirts, classes, gift cards, and, well, more pizza)–and every dollar is matched by Slice Out Hunger’s sponsors. In the end, your $1 ends up providing 12.5 meals for the city’s homeless and hungry (not to mention one amazing, cheap meal for you).

For the most part, tickets are first-come, first-serve–but a $100 donation here will get you at the front of the line with five tickets, a $75 donation will get you a pizza-making class, and a donation of any amount can be made even if you aren’t able to attend tomorrow night.

Wheated (907 Church Avenue between Coney Island Avenue and E 10th Street) will also be open tomorrow night from 6pm-12am. Di Fara (1424 Avenue J on the corner of E 15th Street) is normally open from 12-8:30pm on Wednesdays, but be sure to call 718-258-1367 if you’re planning on stopping by tomorrow, in case they’re closed for the special event.
