Du Jour Bakery  (365 Fifth Avenue @ 6th Street) gets written up in the New York Times today:

Du Jour, a new Brooklyn bakery, offers a collection of well-made cookies, muffins, scones, cupcakes, cakes, brioches, croissants and desserts like butterscotch pudding. The simple but inviting brick-walled space is a largely do-it-yourself project by T. J. Obias; his wife, Vera Tong Obias; and their partner, Tae Kyung, who did most of the design and construction.

Sweet and savory treats, not much bread, the Times notes:

The Obiases have chosen to focus on desserts, and so except for brioches, croissants and the like, they are ignoring the bread category for now.
