Donate Your Unwanted Books & DVDs For The Friends Of Clinton Hill Library Sale
Bookshelves too crammed for anything new? Watch most movies online at this point? Then thin out your collections and help raise funds for the Friends of Clinton Hill Library’s forthcoming Book, Bake, and Toy Sale on Saturday, November 1.
Donations of baked goods and gently used toys will be accepted at the Clinton Hill Library (380 Washington Avenue between Lafayette and Greene Avenues) on the day of sale only; however, books and DVDs are being accepted during opening hours (Monday 10am-6pm, Tuesday 10am-8pm, Wednesday, 1-8pm, Thursday and Friday 10am-6pm, and Saturday 10am-5pm) until Monday, October 20.
The sale itself will run from 10am-4pm rain or shine, and proceeds will go towards improving library facilities and services. Since 2012, the group has raised money for important things like library furniture and children’s cultural programs–so donate if you can, and stop by on November 1 for hundreds of $1 items including tons of gently used kids’ books, as well as a $5 “fill a bag” sale from 2-4pm.
