Reason #3,472 to love our neighborhood: If you bring a blanket to donate to a drive at Mary’s Bar, they’ll thank you with a free beer!

The folks at Mary’s (708 5th Avenue at 22nd Street) reached out to let us know they’re participating in Blank-Fest, an annual blanket drive that culminates in the distribution of those blankets to the homeless in the city on Christmas Eve. And as a small thanks for your help, they’ll give you any beer of your choice from their nice selection.

Just stop by with a blanket by December 23, since the blankets will be picked up for distribution on December 24.

And then, if you’re around on Christmas and looking for a cozy place to hang out, the bar will be open from 3pm-2am.
