Dog Of The Day: Olive
When we learned last week that the most popular breed of dog in Park Slope is the French Bulldog, we put out the call for neighbors to share pics of their pups, and you didn’t let us down! Tonight we introduce you to another local sweetheart — if you’d like us to feature your dog on the site, whether it’s a squishy Frenchie, a lovable mutt, or anything in between, send some photos to us at editor@bklyner.com!
Today, meet Olive! She’s another of the popular breed, but aside from that, there’s nothing common about her, according to her owners, Matt, Marci, and Will McAvoy.
PSS: How old is she, and how long have you had her?
The McAvoys: Olive is 9, she has been our family for 8.5 years.
What’s one of her favorite things about living in Park Slope?
Walking around, visiting her local haunts that hand out dog treats.
Is she indeed a party animal, as is suggested by this hat?
Yes, the hat is just one of many party ensembles.
Can you explain what she means to your family in five words or less?
Our 5-year-old son’s explanation of our family sums it up: “Mommy, Daddy, Will, and Olive.”
