Ditmas Park Weekend Events


This weekend is about to be a gorgeous one! Will you be sampling food from trucks at Prospect Park, seeing live music around the ‘hood, trying to get your bike back in shape for spring, or something else entirely?

Saturday, April 5

• Check out a number of fun Opening Day activities at and food trucks at Prospect Park.
• Browse Play Kids’ pop-up toy store at Lark, 10am-1:30pm.
• Works by local fiber artists will be on display at the Quilters’ Guild of Brooklyn Biannual Quilt Show at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott, 10am-6pm.
• You can check out Introduction to Birdwatching, starting at the Audubon Center, 12-1pm.
Alex Levin and guests play jazz at Purple Yam, 12:30-2:30pm.
• Reserve a spot ahead of time for a bike tune up with Flatbush Mutual Aid at the Flatbush Reformed Church, 1:30-4:30pm.
History in Your Hands: Spring Sprouts is at the Lefferts Historic House, 2-4pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Dirty Water Dogs play Bar Chord, 9pm.
•  There’s karaoke at 773 Lounge, 9pm.

Sunday, April 6

• There’s a Morning Bird Walk starting at the Audubon Center, 8am.
• Meditate for free at at Jaya Yoga East, 8:30am.
• Play and sing at Toddler Time with Mary Jo, Lark, 10am.
• The Quilters’ Guild of Brooklyn Biannual Quilt Show is still on at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott, 10am-4pm.
•  There’s a Blues Brunch featuring Dave Clive’s Nawlins Funk Band, 12-4pm.
• Hagan’s Meatyballs are at this week’s Flatbush Food Court, Sycamore, 12-6pm.
Yoon Sun Choi plays Sunday Jazz for the Family at Lark, 4-5pm.
• Join the Ditmas Park Sitting Group to meditate at Third Root, 6:45pm.
•  Game Night is on at 773 Lounge, 7pm.
