Ditmas Park Weekend Events
Temperatures are dropping, so try to get out and about this weekend before the snow comes. You can support education, music, and a local childhood center, have a romantic night out, and more.
Saturday, December 7
- Get caffeinated with your canine and learn about off-leash activities at FIDO-sponsored Coffee Bark, Prospect Park, 7-9am.
- The Lavender Blues sing along is at Lark, 10am.
- Kids can jam out to live music at the Cortelyou Library, 11:30am.
- Join the Brooklyn Bird Club for a walk starting at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, 12-1pm.
- Alex Levin and guests play jazz at Purple Yam, 12:30-2:30pm.
- There’s a faculty piano recital at Brooklyn College, 1:15pm.
- Local kids are teaching other kids (ages 5-10) to make origami and rubber band bracelets at Brooklyn ARTery, 2-3:30pm.
- Kids can learn about historic games Saturdays and Sundays at the Lefferts Historic House, 2-4pm.
- Honey, Dear plays vintage jazz at Lark, 4pm.
- Parents can leave kids to listen to storyteller Robin Bady, then enjoy a night out with drink coupons from Brooklyn ARTery, 6-8pm.
- Attend a fundraiser for our neighbors‘ Wild Shore Festival for New Music at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 7-9pm.
- Support the arts at PS 217 with music, drinks, and more at Bar Chord, 7pm.
- Alegba and Friends play 773 Lounge, 10pm.
Sunday, December 8
- Meditate for free at at Jaya Yoga East, 8:30am.
- Play and sing at Toddler Time with Mary Jo, Lark, 10am.
- Attend Alden LaPaglia’s Healthy Holidays wellness fair at the Cortelyou Early Childhood Center Annex (368 Marlborough Road on the corner of Cortelyou Road), 11am-3pm.
- Jack’s ChedBred is at the Flatbush Food Court, Sycamore, 12-6pm.
- Try locally-made treats for free at Brooklyn ARTery, 1-3pm.
- Join the Ditmas Park Sitting Group to meditate at Third Root, 6:45pm.
- Game on! At Board Game Night, 773 Lounge, 8pm.
- The Cortelyou Jazz Jam is at Bar Chord, 9pm.
