Happy Saturday! This weekend, you can do everything from shopping at book and yard sales, to making jewelry, to rocking/jazzing out, to playing in the park. Have a blast, and we’ll see you on Monday.

Saturday, October 19

• Check out the Popcorn Playgroup multi-family yard sale on the corner of Beverley and Rugby, 9am-3pm.
• Learn how to make Malaysian spring rolls at Brooklyn ARTery, 10am.
• The Lavender Blues sing along is at Lark, 10am.
• Recycle electronics in front of the Flatbush Food Co-op, 10am-4pm.
• Make signs and learn about Q Gardens on E 18th and Church, 12-5pm.
• Alex Levin and guests play jazz at Purple Yam, 12:30-2:30pm.
• Join the Brooklyn Bird Club for a walk starting at the Prospect Park Audubon Center, 12-1pm.
• Join a race around the barnyard at the Lefferts Historic House, 2-4pm Saturdays and Sundays.
• Attend the Cortelyou Library Friends’ book and bake sale, in front of the library from 2-4pm.
• Make your own earrings at Brooklyn ARTery, 3:30pm.
• Honey, Dear plays vintage jazz at Lark, 4pm.
• NYCTrust plays their weekly party at Sycamore, 8pm.
• Alegba and Friends are at Bar Chord, 9pm.
• Enjoy live music, drink specials, and contests at 773 Lounge’s Halloween Costume Party, 9pm.

Sunday, October 20

• Meditate for free at at Jaya Yoga East, 8:30am.
• Play and sing at Toddler Time with Mary Jo, Lark, 10am.
• Sign up, then join the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walkathon in Prospect Park, 10am.
• Pick up a free tree from Compost for Brooklyn at their community garden on Newkirk and E 8th, 12-2pm.
• Karen Zuegner and other neighbors play with the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra at the Brooklyn Museum, 2pm.
• Tammy Hall tells stories at the Lefferts Historic House, 2 and 3pm.
• Kids can design, make, and write about their own custom toys at Brooklyn ARTery, 3pm.
• Yoon Sun Choi plays jazz for the family at Lark, 4pm.
• … followed by Lit at Lark, back at its namesake cafe, 5pm.
• The Cortelyou Jazz Jam is at  Bar Chord, 9pm.
