The weekend is here and trains are a little funky, but thankfully there’s plenty of fun stuff to do within walking distance.
Saturday, July 20
• The Lavender Blues Singalong is at Lark, 10-11am.
• Visit Sustainable Flatbush’s Healing Herb Garden, 10am-2pm (compost til 12pm).
• The Ready, Set, Kindergarten! is at the Cortelyou Library, 11am.
• Yoga at the Prospect Park Peristyle, 11am; kids-only class, 12pm.
• Take a canoe ride in Prospect Park, 11am-2pm!
• Alex Levin and guests play jazz at Purple Yam, 12-2:30pm.
• Get your kids to pull someone else’s weeds at the Lefferts Historic House, 2-4m.
• Adults: learn some bookmaking skills at the Cortelyou Library, 2pm.
• The Lone Bellow, The Low Anthem & Joe Purdy play Celebrate Brooklyn, 7pm.
• Alegba and Friends play Bar Chord, 9pm.
• Nobody’s Business plays 773 Lounge, 10pm.
• Names You Can Trust hosts their weekly party at Sycamore, 10pm.

• Ezra Jack Keats Story Hour at the Imagination Playground, Prospect Park, 2pm.
• Yoon Sun Choi plays at Sunday Jazz for the Family, Lark, 4pm.
• Free screening of March of the Penguins at St. Rose of Lima Church 4pm.
