One Bed Beauty on Ocean Ave
Available: Now
Price: $1,600
Details: With high ceilings and hardwood floors, this place at 816 Ocean Avenue could definitely make for a cute home. Plus, the kitchen seems like a place where you’d actually have space to cook – hooray! You’d be close to shopping and food on Cortelyou and Flatbush, and the Cortelyou Road Q subway station is an easy 0.2 miles away. The listing says there’s an elevator, which is always good, but it doesn’t specify laundry. And there aren’t any photos of the bathroom, which is always a little worrisome. Still, this place seems pretty and spacious.

Two Bedroom Near Cortelyou
Available: Immediately
Price: $2,500
Details: They don’t say exactly where this apartment is, but they do say it’s about 0.3 miles from the Cortelyou Q subway station and about 0.36 miles from the Beverley Road station, both of which are walkable distances. Plus, there’s hardwood floors, new appliances in a kitchen with cooking space, and definitely looks like it gets a lot of light. The bathroom looks a little tight, and it doesn’t say if pets are allowed or if there’s laundry on site, so there are definitely questions to be asked.

Affordable Four Bedroom

Available: July 1
Price: $2,575
Details: If you’re thinking about moving with roommates, this place definitely seems affordable (about $643 a month) if you can split it four ways. We’re assuming – and hoping – it’s a typo where it says three bedrooms in the description, especially considering the same group has a three-bedroom listed at $2,450. It doesn’t give the exact address, though it does say it’s off Ocean Parkway and is about a half-mile from the Q subway station at Cortelyou. You’d potentially be able to have pets “on approval,” there are pictured exposed brick walls, wood floors, and on-site laundry. This group does seem to have similar photos in a couple of their listings, which seems suspect, but hopefully these photos are of the actual apartment because they seem really lovely.

Drooling Over This Marlborough Victorian
Available: August 1
Price: $8,000
Details: Oof. This house. If you have $8,000 a month to spend on rent, pick this place at 315 Marlborough Road and then invite us over, please! Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, 12 rooms total – say what? There’s a finished basement with a studio space and a playroom. If you ever wanted to leave your house, you’d be near shopping and restaurants on Cortelyou. And, remember, when you rent this place, have a housewarming party! Because, $8,000, sigh.
