A John Dewey High School (50 Avenue X) student is in hot water after allegedly slipping his cellphone up a teacher’s skirt and snapping a photo – and then sharing it on Facebook.

The New York Post reports:

The 15-year-old student secretly took the picture with his iPhone as the newly hired teacher stood at a chalkboard at John Dewey High School in Gravesend last week, school sources said.
The freshman’s fellow students ratted out the teen to school officials Thursday after the image made the rounds on social media.

The teen’s mom blamed the incident on the teacher’s clothing.

“The teacher was dressed inappropriately,” she told the paper.

That’s being contradicted by his classmates.

“She dresses normally,” one student said. “I mean, to me, she doesn’t stand out too much. She just looks young.”

Cops and Department of Education investigators were called to the school in response to the incident.

New York City lifted its school cell phone ban on March 2, now allowing schools to create their own policies. Dewey High School bans students from having cell phones turned on in the building, and they must be kept in backpacks or lockers.

The rule is sternly enforced, from what students told CBS News.

“The teachers don’t let us take it out and if you do take it out, they just take it away and call your parents to come pick it up,” junior Kamlawattie Jewdhan told the outlet.
