Deadbeat, Hulu’s Upcoming Supernatural Comedy, Filming On Argyle Tomorrow

Just in time for Halloween, we noticed these signs on Argyle between Cortelyou and Beverely asking neighbors to move their cars by 8pm tonight for the filming of Deadbeat tomorrow. The series, the first collaboration between Hulu and Lionsgate, is described by Deadline:

Kevin Pacalioglu (Reaper‘s Tyler Labine), an unfiltered-yet-endearing, perennial underdog… constantly struggles with his weight and scrapes by as a medium-for-hire, using his only skill– the ability to communicate with ghosts. He helps New York’s ghosts settle their unfinished business.

The show was created by Brett Konner and Cody Heller (both of Wilfred), and Troy Miller (who directed/co-directed all of Arrested Development‘s episodes on Netflix) will be directing. Konner, Heller, and Miller are also executive producers, as are Dede Gardner. Jeremy Kleiner, and Sarah Esberg of Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B Entertainment. 10 half-hour episodes are scheduled for the first season.
