Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

It could feel like mid-January as we’re getting up today, with predicted temperatures in the mid-20s. You can expect them to only rise into the mid-30s with an increasing chance of light snow around the evening commute, according to the National Weather Service. If you see any pretty views on the way home, don’t forget to snap a picture and share it on The Nabe’s Flickr pool.

Here’s more news to start your day:

  • Greene Grape Provisions wants to see your cooking and photography skills for its #ProvisionsPix Instagram contest. You’ve got until the end of the month to snap a shot of your best ramen dish for a chance to win a $10 store gift card. To enter, head to the store and pick up some ramen, take a photo of your dish, upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #ProvisionsPix (and don’t forget to mention @GreeneGrape), and get the most “likes” by March 31.
  • Plans have changed for part of the residential development at 76-90 Lefferts Place in Clinton Hill, Brownstoner reported. Originally pitched as a three unit-building, current plans for 76 Lefferts now show eight units, the blog reported. Signage at the site also shows three similar buildings starting construction at 80, 84 and 88 Lefferts. Check out the blog for views of the construction site and a building schematic.
  • Applications are now being accepted from residents of Brooklyn Community Board 2 for affordable housing rentals at 66 Rockwell Place. To be considered for one of the apartments, varying from studios to 1 and 2 bedrooms, you must meet specific annual income requirements of no more than $41,950 for the largest units. Download an application here and send a completed copy by regular mail post market by April 19 to be considered.
